Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame inductee Bart Grooms is the host for Jazz Hall Radio’s longest-running show, which premiered in 2007. Each one-hour program is a musical journey through America’s native art form, touching on all eras and styles of jazz. From swing to bebop, from the roots of jazz to new releases, Bart will have something interesting to share about the music and those who create it. While it’s a perfect introduction for those new to jazz, aficionados often learn something new as well. We’ll see you at the Junction!
Block Party Radio

Innervision Records flutist and Birmingham music educator Kim Scott is the host of Block Party Radio, heard on FM and internet stations throughout the US and in the UK. Block Party Radio is an upbeat, urbane show, with a host that is brimming with enthusiasm about the Contemporary Jazz scene today.
New Urban Jazz Lounge
Fridays 7 – 9 p.m.
Sundays 6 – 8 p.m.
Atlanta-based keyboardist, producer and composer Bob Baldwin becomes radio host Bob Baldwin to kick off the weekend on Jazz Hall Radio. The New Urban Jazz Lounge covers contemporary jazz, soul, Brazilian music and more on each two-hour program, now heard in more than 20 states throughout the US.
In the Mood
Saturdays 8 – 10 a.m.
Sundays 8 – 10 p.m.
Alabama radio veteran Scott Michaels hosts In the Mood, two hours of music from the Big Band era, when Jazz was America’s popular music. Included within each hour is an artist spotlight on one of the stars of Swing. With music from the “World’s Largest Record Collection,” you can start your weekend swingin’ with Scott every Saturday morning.
